Please note that buying a double rifle requires an acquisition permit issued by the police. Send the original signed firearm purchase permit and a copy of a valid identity document by email to asiakaspalvelu@kurre.fi, or as a photo to 010 229 1998.

Double rifles for big game hunting

A double rifle, as the name suggests, is built with two barrels, set either side by side or one above the other. Double rifles were very popular hunting guns in the past, but today bolt-action rifles have almost entirely replaced them. The double rifle is used above all for big game. It remains a popular hunting gun particularly in countries where driven wild boar hunting is common, as it suits fast-moving situations. Compared with a bolt-action rifle, the double rifle's advantage is a fast second shot with no need to cycle the action.
