Combination Guns

A combination gun brings two different guns together, most typically a rifle and a shotgun, so it carries both a shotgun barrel and a rifle barrel. Alternatively, several pairs of barrels can be fitted to the same action. When buying a combination gun it is worth thinking through which barrels suit the kinds of hunting you do, as the combinations run into dozens. Combination guns for hunting

Combination guns include the shotgun-rifle combination, which usually has the shot barrel on top and the rifle barrel underneath. Loaded with shot it suits roe deer and bird hunting, while with a shotgun slug and a deer-legal rifle barrel it is a good gun for deer. 

A drilling is a gun with the shot barrels usually side by side and a rifle barrel below or above them. Fitted with a rifle barrel suited to small game, a drilling is an excellent choice for anyone hunting forest grouse with a spitz-type bird dog.

A double rifle, as the name suggests, carries two rifle barrels, side by side or one above the other. Its strengths are extreme reliability and, when needed, a very fast second shot. The double rifle suits hunting Finland's big game.
