Maximum casting distance and easy line handling

Choosing the right running line is key when you are after long casts and smooth line control. Scientific Anglers has developed coatings that shoot through the rod rings almost without friction, which matters most on big salmon rivers and in coastal fishing. Guideline and Vision, in turn, offer excellent options that stand out for comfort in the hand and for resistance to tangling even in demanding conditions.

Coated versus monofilament running lines

Running lines come both as traditional coated models and as thin monofilament lines. The choice often comes down to the angler's own preference and to the casting style you are after. Our range covers both types, expertly selected:

  • Coated running lines give the best handling and the best grip when you are playing a fish.
  • Monofilament running lines allow maximum casting distance thanks to lower friction.
  • Different breaking strains and diameters for different shooting head sizes and target species.
  • Factory-welded loops for quick and easy line changes out on the water.

Kurre's online shop and our knowledgeable staff will help you find exactly the right running line to balance your shooting head and rod perfectly. A comprehensive range and fast delivery make sure you are ready for the next cast with the best possible gear.
