Used handguns, meaning pistols and revolvers, are an affordable and sensible buy for anyone just taking up shooting. A revolver is mechanically simpler than a pistol, which is why it is arguably the best first gun for a complete newcomer. A 9 mm pistol also works well as a first firearm, and the most common calibre in self-loading pistols is probably 9x19 mm. You can also order pistol and revolver cartridges easily from us.

Used pistols and revolvers from Kurre

A small-calibre used revolver or used pistol is an excellent way to start shooting. With a small-calibre used revolver you learn the basics quickly, along with loading the gun and clearing the cases. Raising the gun for the shot, the correct stance, cocking, aiming, firing and follow-through are all easy to learn with a used revolver. Those lessons carry over when you move up to a larger revolver or to a pistol. A small calibre also keeps the running costs of the hobby low.

Remember that buying a used handgun also requires an acquisition permit issued by the police. Send the original signed firearm purchase permit together with a copy of a valid identity document by email to asiakaspalvelu@kurre.fi, or as a photo to 010 229 1998.
