Precision shotting and bait presentation

The key to choosing float fishing weights is balancing the float's capacity against the conditions on the day, such as wind and current. Split shot is the most common way to fine-tune a rig; by adding or removing shot you raise or lower the float in the water to the millimetre. Weights made from soft material are easy to pinch onto the line without damaging it, and they stay put even on hard casts. In deeper water or in a current, anglers often use olivettes, which let the bait sink quickly towards the bottom without giving up sensitivity. Handy shot dispensers hold several sizes at once, which makes building and adjusting a rig on the bank far easier.

Find the best float fishing weights in Kurre's range

A properly shotted float rig is both enjoyable and effective to use. Our range covers the quality tackle you need:

  • Shot dispensers: Multi-compartment dispensers holding split shot in a range of sizes for fine-tuning.
  • Single weights: Larger weights for heavier float work and distance fishing.
  • Soft lead and lead-free weights: Easy-to-pinch models that are kind to your line.
  • Olivettes: Streamlined weights that take the bait down to depth quickly.
  • Precision shot: Consistent, closely graded shot sets designed specifically for match fishing.

Kurre's specialists will help you work out the right amount of weight for your float so you get perfect sensitivity. Fast delivery makes sure your rig is tuned and ready for your next trip.
