The Schmeisser IPSC .223 Rem competition-ready rifle features Schmeisser’s free-floating barrel, an adjustable gas block, and a solid aluminum handguard that allows an excellent C-clamp grip even with smaller hands. Both the upper and lower receivers are machined from 7075 T6 aluminum, making the rifle perfectly suited for both right- and left-handed shooters. The IPSC model also includes a 3-chamber muzzle brake that effectively reduces recoil, enabling fast and accurate double taps.
Schmeisser’s own ambidextrous charging handle features gas deflection ports for suppressor use, directing gases away from the shooter. The enlarged handle ensures easier manipulation. Schmeisser models also include a safety selector that can be easily set to a 45- or 90-degree angle. An ambidextrous bolt release and the Schmeisser competition trigger complete this competition-ready rifle, placing it among the top-tier AR rifles on the market.
