Pitkä etukartio mahdollistaa pitkien heittojen lisäksi helpon mendaamisen, eli siiman ohjailun. Siima ei toki toimi vain pelkästään pituusheitossa, vaan on myös loistava kalastussiima. ED on parhaimmillaan, kun ympärillä on reilusti heittotilaa. GPX:ään verrattuna Expert Distance vaatii enemmän tekniikkaa heittäjältä.
